Four Renfrews and a Coat

I've really gotten my money's worth from this pattern! I made four Renfrews this weekend (I did the cutting last week)...

He's nursing a sore shoulder and he is really playing his injury up! Also, he is waiting for me to make a lining for his new dog basket...

Insulated winter coat number 1. I have another on the way....

  1. Wow how busy have you been! Great looking renfrews! don't think I've ever made that many things in one weekend.

    1. I've been in a bit of a sewing fog lately where the sewing is all about utility. And I guess good can come from that too!

  2. Wow, that's a lot of output. Renfrew is a fantastic pattern. I have found it dresses up and down really well. Not many shirts are equally good for work, weekends and dressing up.

    1. Thanks! I need to make work work-appropriate clothing. I have great weekend clothes but not so many for work.

  3. I do love your Renfrews. I'm sooooo tempted by this pattern, but I'm definitely not a pear shape and have a bosom, so am slightly wary.
Hope the little man is feeling better soon.

    1. I'm not a pear shape either and I have made a few of the Sewaholic patterns. I find this is a nice, roomy cowl neck. It isn't tight, so I don't think it would be a problem for you.

    1. I found the orange wool at a thrift shop for $8. I still have some left over so you may see it in something else I make....

    1. It's a vintage pattern - McCalls 5828. I had to fiddle with the fit for the armholes but other than than, it was a snap to sew.
